Flachauwinkl/Kleinarl has a good variety of sunny tree-lined pistes. The sun is on the Flachauwinkl side in the morning and the Kleinarl side in the afternoon. Whilst great in peak season, this sunshine can mean that Flachauwinkl/Kleinarl is not the best place to go when snow coverage is poor. Gerlos ist der peferkte Ausgangsort in der Zillertal Arena. Von hier aus haben auch Genuss-Skifahrer die Moglichkeit, die ganze Zillertal Arena kennen zu lernen! Valmeinier was fantastic for a good value family skiing holiday. Most accommodation is slopeside or a 2 minute walk at most. Slopes were well maintained. Queues big first thing in the morning when ski schools going up, but fine thereafter. Runs were easy. Link to Valloire very slow, even slower getting back by chair as it was not possible to ski the circuit back. All in all it's a nice picturesque resort but it's not that big.
