How anomaly is calculated

The anomaly is the current upper-mountain snow depth divided by the ten-year average for the corresponding calendar week, expressed as a percentage. Values above 100% indicate an above-average snowpack.

Sources and freshness

Sources include SkiWeather.eu SRN, Iski, MySwitzerland, ANMSM, MeteoFrance, SLF, DWD, mountain companies and tourist offices. Snow reports are concentrated between November and May, with most bulletins arriving during the morning.
