In terms of skiing, this resort has it all. It is not called the "Big 3" for nothing. You have access to three mountains over 3000m and two of them are glaciers so good snow is guaranteed. Ischgl is an excellent snowsecure skiresort with a very lively après ski. It's perfect for a vacation with friends, but not for families with (little) kids.

I have skied in Tignes for two years running and as a ski resort it is definitely my favourite. . I stayed in Val Claret which is an ideal location for exploring the area, and found the variety and snow quality to be first rate. I would have to say the skiing is far better than in Val Thorens as the final runs into VT are quite average and very busy.
