Great resort! You've got the best of both worlds, a rustic boutique resort with deserted pistes and no queue's on your doorstep or the hustle and bustle of the Morzine or Avoriaz 5 mins up the road. St Jean d'Aulps/Espace Roc d'Enfer has good skiing on all levels catered for. The resort itself is small, so everything is on your door step - bars, restaurants, ski hire, lifts. I went with a party of twelve who were a mix of abilities. Fortunately we had loads of new snow so the slopes were in excellent condition. The town is small but has everything you need. Don't go if you are looking for loud music and street parties but the pubs are good and restaurants are reasonable for price and all seem to have extensive menus. From what I could determine, most accommodation is within easy reach of the lifts. Our hotel was only 100 metres from the main chair ...
