Megeve is a resort with little ambience. It is an expensive resort regarding what it has to offer. In restaurants in the town the wine was very expensive and prices in many of the mountain bars are astronomical. I would suggest nearby Combloux or Les Contamines.

Serfaus is really great! village is very beautiful. there is quite a range of nice, well prepared pistes, suited for skiing as well as snowboarding. the runs are wide and some are very long. so many things to do with children. apres ski is fabulous: at patschi (at the end of the tall abfahr) or at george (in the centre of the village) the party starts every day at four!

Sauze d'Oulx (Via Lattea) is just great. Via Lattea offers so much skiing area, even if the lift system really needs to be updated. It was freezing on some of the chairs, I would have loved a bubble to keep the cold out, and if they were faster it would have helped too. Apres-ski is brilliant, prices good, atmosphere in the bars, live music, great restaurants, just cannot fault the resort at all
