The skiing from the mid-station on its verticals are endlessly fascinating, interesting and challenging, limited only by one's own imagination and capabilities. I adore the off-piste Glacier run from the summit, as well as the runs of Les Pylones and La Pendant. The off-off piste Pas de ...

The pistes are limited, and, as other reviewers have pointed out, there is a lot of walking to be done. I was lucky enough to find some fresh powder on Plattjen two days after it snowed; even the crud was fun on my longboard. Avoid the Alpin Express, which gets horrendously ...

We were pleasantly surprised by what we found in Gerlos and the Zillertal Arena and I will try and sum up our experience by listing the positives and negatives. To give it some context, we are in our early thirties and are advanced skiers. Positive aspects: Gerlos sits at the centre of the largest linked ski area in the Zillertal. From Gerlos, you can access about 150km of pistes in Gerlos, Zell and Koenigsleiten. This would satisfy most skiers for a week, although I did find ...
