Random ski resort reviews

Zeer mooi en gezellig skigebied. Het enige nadeel is de sneeuwzekerheid. Dit wordt echter opgelost door de nieuwe lift naar Jochberg waar de pistes aan de noordkant liggen. Het dorp ademt gezelligheid uit. Voor de echte apresskiër is het verstandig om naar Kirchberg te gaan. In het dorp is een geweldig restaurant waar je uitmuntend kunt eten. Op de piste is berghaus Tirol een aanrader voor een gezellige en heerlijke middagmaaltijd. Het skigebied is zeer uitgebreid en voor elk wat wils.

If you want to be high in the Alps, just between Chamonix, France and Zermatt, Switzerland, and also be off the huge ski stations like Verbier, it is the place; calm, not many visitors, great off-piste from the top of the single t-bar in town (in fact three but two coming up the glacier in the same direction, leading to the small mountain restaurant, just one on the slopes!; great heli-skiing also! Mind the mountain guides - not easy to find better.

We went there in Jan 2009. It was because, first, we heard that it was a beginner friendly ski resort. Second, we got a good deal to stay 3 nights at the lovely hotel Montana, including simple breakfast, lunch packs, 3-courses fine dinner, and all transfer between both the train station and ski site and the hotel!
