It's Austria`s highest resort so the snow cover is excellent. It's only 40 minutes from Innsbruck Airport - my taxi was 60 euros each way. Easyjet are now flying to Innsbruck - so flights are cheap. No lift queues in the week. Free daily bus to the centre of Innsbruck. Hotels good - I stayed at the Silzerhof - very friendly,food good. Negative points: The highest lift goes to 2520metres so there is only 500mtrs of descent. You can ski all the pistes (40km) in just over a day. Busy on…

I chose this area because we had a large group with some 16 year olds and the offer of an luxurious apartment with mountain heaven (dvds,xbox, full cooking set apart from an oven)was a for a very good price. Very quiet resort for nightlife but with a lot of bottles of wine and drinking games in a bar with a fake cave which the chef joined in as well!! Lovely town located near the Swiss Border , you actually ski half the time in France and half the time in Switzerland . It had'nt snowed for a while but the pistes were still good Great resort for beginners and intermediates , the most challenging run is "the Wall" which is steep with really big moguls . Accomodation was good and the apres livley , especially the Budha Bar . Downside is getting on to the piste from Morzine to Avoriaz takes a while and is easy to miss the last…
