We went to Serfaus in March 2007. The village was ok aesthetically but the skiing is not that good. It's quite low and the slopes get a lot of Sun so the snow deteriorates fast. Most of the slopes are for intermediates although there's an ok amount of lift served off piste but it gets tracked out super fast. The dump we had on day 3 was tracked by day 3 and a half. If you're used to steep off piste then Pezid is the best lift served there is and it's not that steep. A 25 min hike will…

Enjoy St.Johann with its very warm friendly people and pleasant village atmosphere. St.Johann has runs to suit all levels of skier and boarder but off piste is a bit limited. The scenery is beautiful with several wide runs through pine forest and a very wide open expanse for learners. Lifts and Gondolas plentiful & modern - a bare handful of T bars at lower levels for children. A good choice of onslope restaurants - and your never more than 5 mins from one - try going to the top of…

The amazing Sarenne route is the longest in Europe. It offers challenging black sections and magnificent views! Everybody should do this one once in their lifetime. Alpe d' Huez offers more black pistes at high altitude, but those are quite short, but definatelly challenging. The lower sections are mostly red and blue. Alpe d'Huez is not a pretty resort, but offers some nice entertainment at night. Don't expect to find here apres-ski austrian style. Be ware if the drinks scam over…
