This is a small, typical tyrolean village with a massive skiarena in it's backyard, as part of the Kitzbuhel skiregion (close 180km of slopes!). Compared to Kitzbuhel it is more catered to young people. It has more than it's share of pubs and apres-ski bars. You should try the onslope bar Oberkaser, and actually all other pubs you pass on your way down to Kirchberg village at the end of the day. The skiregion is diverse. Cervinia is great for families. The Italian ski school is very good. If your child improves he/she will be moved to the next level during the same week. great off piste, good snow due to altitude. not very difficult runs but very wide. For intermediates this is really joyful terrain with incredibly long trails falling away below you across the huge white landscape. Don't have to wait long for the lifts even on school holidays. Went twice and would go again.
