The resort of alpe d huez has one of the most extensive ski lift systems in europe, skiing to your doorstep isn an option. its virtually the only think you can do. the slopes are mostly south facing and youll find that if you go towards the end of february / beginning of march, the weather is usually fantastic. there are many challenging runs including the famous tunnel run. won let the cat out of the bag, just try it! this resort also has the longest black run in europe which on a hot day is great to do as you can stop off and have a sun bath on the way down! theres many bars and restaurants, the best bar being the underground. this bar is below one of the resorts hotels and is a central
