A good value resort - apartment prices well below other French resorts; and they're 50% bigger, particularly in the Domaine d'Arselle, the extension below Chamrousse 1700. Very French - expect no English to be spoken. Good for beginners and intermediates - limited for better skiers; lacks the links to bigger ski domains. The black runs around the old 1968 Olympic courses are severe - categories elsewhere a bit haphazard; some greens are tougher than blues. Broadly, though, the further you are from 1650, the easier the runs.
