The place lived up to everything I had been told about family skiing. The resort is not too big and most definitely family orientated but also had plenty of non family groups.
Chamrousse 1700 is a great resort for intermediates and beginners. Our second trip - the first time from Grenoble, this time from Geneva (about 1.5 hour drive from either). Plenty of prepared pistes and off piste skiing for those wanting a bit of a challenge. We saw some serious off piste too. Restaurants and bars offered a good range of places to take a break during the day or chill out at night.
We will most certainly be returning to Chamrousse. A little gem!
