I flew into Zurich and hopped on the train to Davos Platz (my first time without pre arranged transfers) the train journey was very straight forward and a lot cheaper than paying for transfers. Upon arrival the conditions were excellent, no lift queues and pistes were clear. Off the slope, I found Davos to have something different to the purpose built French resorts. Verbier is one of the best all round ski resorts, it has something for everyone. Great on piste/off piste, excellent nightlife and ease for international guests. The apres ski was amazing, visit the farinet for a rowdy evening or the fer a cheval for a quieter drink. Although one down side is, Verbier seems to have sold its soul a little and could well be an English Mountain. You might even bump into mr. Branson here!
