Beautiful village, great ski bus (theyre swiss, everything is always on time, efficent and clean) slopes were good higher up, sarted to have grass showing through when you try to board all the way back to the village, though (jan 05). looking at the maps boarding from top to bottom looks like a great idea, but i dont recommend it, especially if youre a boarder as all of the runs down from the grindelwald area have long flat sections frequently involving uphill bits. area around…

I had a great time skiing in europe for the first time. i went in late january and practically had the mountain to myself. brunni has an incredible view. the runs are intermediate, with no mogals, but were groomed well. the cafe at the mid point of the mountain had many good soups and it was a nice break from the cold. the only bad part of the experience was coming down to engleberg, where there were many spots where there was no snow and had to walk down. other that that, a great…

We really enjoyed the blue run 31 from the Vorab gondola station – a wide open motorway of a piste, great confidence builder for timid intermediates and good fun for more advanced intermediates when done quickly ! We also ski-ed across from Vorab on piste 30 to the Nagens/Plaun area above Flims which had some great confidence building blues and reds (piste 30 itself was a bit of a flat wind beaten affair but worth the effort to get to Plaun/Nagens runs.
