Random ski resort reviews

Just got back from a week in Les Deux Alps (26/1/08) with ten mates. The resort was fantastic, skiing was great, snow conditions couldn't have been better even with the warm weather. The lift system was fast and efficient with minimal queues. Stayed at Les Cret in the town centre with Skiworld. The location was perfect, hotel basic but clean, the food was a bit of a surprise, great food, the staff and the manager were also great. Would recommend. An absolute must is the day away trip…

Found Risoul to be the most underrated place I have visited. Never waited more than a couple of minutes for any lift. We were also spoilt by the very good snowfalls that preceded our stay. The ski area offers a great selection of runs and the linked resort of Vars is easily reached and well worth visiting, something I did daily. I found it best to go to the sunny slopes of Vars in the morning and Risoul in the afternoon.

A good beginner resort but not much for experts. Also if book the Kempinski hotel next to the Bansko slope your in for real luxury, Im sure if your not the most confident skiier you may enjoy your time in the Sauna. The ski resort lacks black slopes, I belive It has 1 black slope atleast when I went there, also the Gondola lift is very over crowded in the morning, and its the only lift up the mountin so get in there early or wait for the que to pass.
