Zeer leuk dorpje ,aangenaam gezellig en goed skigebied voor beginners en daarbij nog lekker eten en leuk en goedkoop shopplezier. Livigno is sneeuwzeker met prima voorzieningen aan de caroselo kant (zeker voor beginnners). Voor de gevorderden zijn er aan de motelino kant 2 mooie zwarte piste's. verder nogal wat rode en blauwe piste's.

We have experienced the superb snow record in les contamines for the last ten years and it has become reknown for good snow when other higher resorts have failed. the resort has never failed to impress us with the superb mixture of pistes for all abilities and amazing variety of off piste. it is not a high mileage resort but quality counts. a real bonus is that the local people are much more friendly than other resorts we have visited.

La Mongie is one of the two entrances to the Domaine Du Tourmalet ski area, the other is Bareges. La Mongie is above the tree-line, whereas Bareges has tree-lined runs. The runs are very beautiful. It is a great resort for up to advanced skiers, experts may find the runs limited - unless they decide to go off-piste. The off-piste skiing is amazing as there are almost no restrictions.
