We have been skiing in Serre Chevalier for 15 years and have also skied over 100 other resorts worldwide. In good snow conditions Serre Che is one of the best. Great varied piste skiing,easily accessed off-piste, some lovely 17th century villages (spoiled, to some extent, by some 1970s indiscriminate building), a quickly improving lift system and friendly locals. A small friendly resort with an excellent snow record, the village stands at 1584m with much of the skiing above the tree line. Whilst the ski area is relatively small it does not suffer from the crowds of some of the more, well known resorts. A short *** bus ride away is the larger resort of Ischgl, which provides over 200km of well-groomed pistes. Auron is een wat klein dorpje met een mooi skigebied. Het is als een cirkel om de gondelverbinding nar het beginpunt van het skigebied gebouwd. Het kent dus eigenlijk amar een plein en een straat waar alles gebeurd. Ga er niet naar toe voor de apres-ski, verder dan wat bier en een disco-avond in een bar komt men niet.
