Galtur im Paznauntal reviews

Just back after Feb/08 1/2 term. Group of 17 of us stayed at Hotel Alpenrose in Galtur with Inghams (would recommend) - bus stop outside; 5 mins to Wirl slopes, 10 mins to Ishgl. Wirl great for beginners and first day of holiday to get those ski legs working! Lovely wide slopes, nice restaurants and good ski school. Limited night life in Galtur but charming ten pin bowling at sports centre. Outside ice-skating rink in village - melting by end of week. Skiing in Ishgl starts at top station - lifts very busy from 9am. Found Fimba gondola to be less busy. Fab skiing, mainly reds - best for intermediates and not a lot of struggling beginners around.
