I've been coming to Engelberg for years, partly because of the close proximity to Germany, but mainly because it Rocks! I've been to many resorts in Switzerland and France...but I keep coming back here. It may not have millions of kilometers of groomed piste, but it sure does have some of the best off-piste runs I've come accross! Well organised bus > train > bus links from Klagnefurt. Nice valley/people. Plenty of sunshine. No snow at all in Feb 2007 but the machines ensured good ski-ing on the major pistes that were kept open. Gondolas take you to the top of 3km runs with lots of routes to explore. Challenging as you want. Slopes get crowded at weekends with day trippers and so are mangled and icy on Monday. Lift passes expensive. Ski equipment hire and service brilliant. Klosters is een schitterend, rustig skidorp voor de mens met de grotere portemonnee. Skibus en hotelservice zijn goed geregeld en er zijn ook geregeld activiteiten. Het grootste pluspunt blijft toch de kleinschaligheid van Klosters. Voor meer uitgaansgelegenheden en winkels, ga naar Davos.
