Its a magical place with many positive aspects. Nice and small skiing area, ideal for beginners and intermediate skiers with not a great deal of harder slopes for those experiences skiers. The village itself is beautiful and very picturesque. Plenty of lovely shops and other activities taking place mid-season. Sankt Anton is supposed to be one of the top skiresorts in Europe. In fact it is fairly mainstream. This is not a good resort for beginners. It is well suited to intermediate to advanced skiers though. However it lacks serious off-piste opportunities. The village and slopes are nice looking, but large electricity-masts and communication equipement frustrate the views. Sankt Anton is an expensive destination, but offers you snow guaranteed!

Been to Isola 2000 twice and absolutely worth the 4 day trip. The flight to Nice combined with the 1.5 hour drive up the mountain is for sure shorter then the regular 9 hours drive to other places in the Alps from Amsterdam. The combination of palm trees at the airport and snow on arrival up mountain makes it quite an extra ordinary visit.
