I've skied St. Anton ten times now and am considering a different resort. However, nothing that I research seems to compare! The skiing is supberb! The area is vast and the off-piste enough to challenge even the expert skier (not myself!). The pistes tend to be more taxing than other European resorts and it's not really a beginner friendly resort. As for the mountain restaurants, Rendl has nothing to write home about, but on the main ski area you'll find some great ones! If you follow blue 8 down to St. Christoph, the Hospiz Alms is unbeatable for atmostphere, great food and there's even a slide down to the toilets - fantastic when you've got your ski boots on and had a few Gluweins!
