Have been to St Anton several times over the past 5 years and still love the place. You really must try to visit it once in your lifetime. There are two main attractions - the skiing (especially off piste) and the apres ski. This is not the place for beginners, nor would I say families (although I did take my 3 kids- 4, 7 and 10, there for the day - whilst we were staying in Oberlech at end of Jan to sample the Mooserwirt and they loved it). It is hard going at times, especially on the Shliesstal, which is the main run back into St Anton that also takes you to Krazy Kanguruh, Mooserwirt etc, in the afternoon.
