St Anton is a hip, vibrant, and beautifully Alpine village, where, both the young and old feel comfortable. The skiing is challenging, yet satisfying, though, not a place for beginners! I recommend beginners take the 40min bus ride to the nearby resort of Lech, for long wide open runs perfect for the less experienced skier. The pistes here are a lot less crowded than in St Anton too, with the queues for lifts almost halved. The views from both the Galzig and Rendl mountain lift stations are breath-taking, a sensational view across the Alps and it's valleys.
