Wonderful resort, wide pistes, not at all busy, never queued all week. The snow was wonderful. skied 30/35 miles a day. Skiing accross the border into Sauze dOulx Italy is an adventure and lunching at the sweet little Italian restaurants for variety made it a great trip. Montgenevre is very safe for kids, especially in the evening. Only downside - not many restaurants on the mountain, but overall wonderful going back again.

The pistes are maintained well and the runs are varied. All the runs on the Le Corbier section of the area return to a bowl in front of the main apartment blocks bars and restaurants. My criticism is that with 5 runs converging on to the main novice area it can be disconcerting for beginners with boarders and skiers whizzing around you. The skiing around the village of Nendaz itself isn't that great, with Plan d Fou being the only run of note. However, the skiing from Siviez is fantastic and links easily to the rest of the 4 Valleys and Verbier. Being at the centre of the 4 Valleys, it's also possible to explore the quieter areas that are less tracked than Verbier. Nendaz has some brilliant freeriding terrain, mostly around Mont Fort, Tortin and Col dGentiens. All in all, a fantastic ski experience providing a cheaper…
