Canazei has quite a lot of charm and good facilities. The accessible ski area is truly vast and has stunning scenery. The area is so well linked up with so many lifts taking you all over that you really can easily explore the whole Sella Ronda area - and further afield with the Super Dolomiti pass if you fancy it. Prices for food, booze and ski hire are very reasonable indeed.

Macugnaga is quiet and exceptional for families with children. I love it, as you won't have the crowds you get at big resorts and you have no big hotels spoiling the authentic mountain resort. The skiing is good and the food fantastic. If you want to relax and ski with no overcrowding and in a resort that has all the charm and quaintness of a proper mountain resort with views to die for without breaking the bank then you have to visit.

Arosa an undiscovered delight! Fabulous skiing, well maintained pistes, great apres-ski, but not too noisy, excellent transport system. One criticism about Arosa is that the runs (that I went on) are quite narrow, that might put off some people. Arosa has enough restaurants and coffee shops - if you want more, go down to Chur. Lift prices are not cheap, but where is these days? Reasonable' prices for food at the top - but stick to things like soup & chips, and it's not so pricey.
