Plan Peisay is a very nice family resort with a really friendly atmosphere, we were there over Xmas and although there are a handful of nice restaurants that welcome children there really isn’t any wild après. Nice friendly village, good for families and couples. Good selection of runs. When we stayed the snow was average and rained a few days so some of the snow melted and a lot of the runs got all muddy and cruel on our skis. British Ski School was the best ski school the kids have ever used - totally excellent. Even though the weather throughout Europe last year (06 - 07) was relatively mild, Obertauern was fantastic. Lots and lots of snow. The high resort is hidden away from the main favorites of Austria but has the most fantastic atmosphere and quality runs which I believe are yet to be discovered by most.
