Livigno is voor mij het beste skigebied van Italië. Het dal heeft een idieaal microklimaat : koud, droog en zonnig. Dan zou je zeggen dat het niet sneeuwzeker is, maar dit komt door het zeldzaam lang komdal waar de wolken bij zware sneeuwval blijven hangen. Er valt zo veel sneeuw tegelijkertijd. De dalafdalingen zijn tussen de bossen. De pistes liggen op de west - ,de oost - en de noordhelling dus ski je altijd in de zon (een kleurtje krijg je hier altijd) en toch verdwijnt de sneeuw…

Fugen is a very good and relaxed resort. If you are looking for a place to stay with a friendly atmophere then this is the place. If you want powder go to Zell am Ziller. If the weather is too warm go to Hintertux glacier. If you want to ride the park and pipe take a ride to Mayerhofen and if you want to stress go to France!

My husband and I visited Crans for a week from 12th Jan this year. Unfortunately the snow conditions were not great lower down the mountain which restricted the number of runs available. However, the slopes were quiet and the pistes were well groomed despite the icy conditions. We found piste markins to be almost non-existent and it was quite difficult to decide where you were at times as the colour coding on the piste map was not an accurate guide.
