Have spent a season and numerous weeks holidays in la clusaz over the last few years - stunning scenery fantastic and relatively undiscovered off-piste - very quiet skiing although feb half-terms definately to be avoided. skiing looks relatively limited on paper but links to nearby grand bornand and easy driving access to chamonix/megeve etc means you wont be bored. locals are very helpful, ski schools great - go there!!

Solden is an absolutely wonderful place to ski. the ski area is large. a bit spread out. the more you get yourself familiar with the ski area, the more you like it. it is a skiers mountain, there are better choices if you are with a family. skiing on the double funitel when conditions are good is some of the best skiing in the alps. the glacier is a beautiful place to ski, with normally always good snow conditions. solden can get crowded, which can be a problem. the town is not the…

This is a perfect skiresort for beginners and intermediate skiers. unfortunately you cant ski all the way down to mayerhofen. the last few years the number of slopes expanded fast, with connections now to hippach and towards tux. mayerhofen, as many other resorts in ziller valley, is very popular with the dutch. dont be surprised if you hear dutch music in the apres-ski bars! anyway it is a very nice resort to stay.
