Verbier is a fantastic resort and deserves all the plaudits. althought it is not the prettiest resort ever, if it has good snow the skiing can be amazing. i have spent a season there and never got bored of the skiing - althought the lifts need updating and the snowpark needs drastic improvement with the inclusion of a half pipe. nightlife can be from excellent to damaging (both head and wallet).

I have visited this charming village several times. it is situated close to kitzbuhel, but it is less hectic here. the downside is that there are no cable ways in kirchberg itself, other than slow chairlifts. you have to travel a few kilometers out of town by bus to the fleckalmbahn (in-between kirchberg and kitzbühel) or the pengelstein i station (other end of the village). the skiarea is quite large as its slopes extend from aschau, kitzbühel, jochberg, all the way to pass turn. the…

We have experienced the superb snow record in les contamines for the last ten years and it has become reknown for good snow when other higher resorts have failed. the resort has never failed to impress us with the superb mixture of pistes for all abilities and amazing variety of off piste. it is not a high mileage resort but quality counts. a real bonus is that the local people are much more friendly than other resorts we have visited.
