What can I say!? A fab place which amazingly gets lots of snow for a relatively low resort. Apparently this is due to it being at the end of a valley. Some great trees runs are possible and there is a massive area of powder to shred after a dump, just check your route from the lifts. The apres ski has to be seen to be believed. Excellent beginners and children area (lifts for beginners free) Good resort can ski over to Vars (intermediate or above only) Vars is not as nice as Risoul and you will want to come back. Lacks mountain Cafes but the atmosphere in the resort is Very Good. The Cherin bar is well worth a visit. Lots of the accommodation is ski in/out which is a great plus. Visited La Rosiere from the 25th Feb to 4th March, stayed with Snowcrazy & despite the weather had an excellent time. I would advise against going with them as there will not be any room for us & they will put their prices up! (only joking Mike) they looked after us superbly all week & we will be going back.
