Mayrhofen has a very relaxed feel about it and everyone we met whilst there was very nice and friendly. The only time that it gets a bit roudy is when snowboming is on, but even then people are well behaved and pleasant. Mayrhofen is very well suited to intermediates and advanced people, there are no greens at the resort. The main lift that is used is the penken lift. would like to agree with the previous comment , Le Brasero is a syperb lunch stop from val d'isere , we have now also stayed in tingnes Le Lac and had dinner in Le Brasero twice , just fantastic , especially if they have live music on !

A large sprawling resort. One of the older resorts it does not have the walkways you get with the newer custom built resorts. Getting about is not a problem though as there is the usual free bus that runs about every twenty minutes through out the resort. There are plenty of shops and bars, a good outdoor ice skating rink which is 4 euros with your ski pass, a excellent outdoor swimming pool free with your ski pass and good indoor swimming pool also free with your ski pass at the large…
