Awesome, great people, great skiing, although look out for some of the blue slopes being more like reds in other European resorts. The Olympic run is a must do- although the top is incredibly steep. The main beginner slopes are on the lower slopes of Campo Smith and Melezet which are fully lift linked. Snow cannons ensure good snow cover both at the beginning and end of the season. The resort is absolutely stunning but can be difficult to ski. Zermatt is made up of 3 ski ares (discounting Cervinia), Klein Matterhorn, Sunnega and Gornagrat. The Klien Matterhorn is served by a modern gondola, Sunnega by a funnicular (Think London underground at rush hour) and Gornergrat by an old railway, which, if you lack patience, is not ideal as it takes about 40 minutes. The lift infra structure must be amongst the best there is with very few queues and access to other equally exciting linked areas was a doddle. There are literally hundreds of kilometers of linked slopes including Wagrain (yummy), Sauchensee (brilliant), Flachauwinkle (super) and others.
