The villages of Niederau, Oberau, Thierbach and Auffach are still as picturesque as ever, with views of the Kitzbüheler Alps and traditional Tirolean architecture. It is the ideal place to leave behind the hustle and bustle of daily life and relax in an unrushed atmosphere that lends itself to family holidays. With transfers from Innsbruck just 45 minutes and an hour and a half from Salzburg and Munich, the valley is the convenient choice for holidaying with young children. The…

There is enough skiing on a local Les Houches pass for a week for beginner and intermediate skiers. The slopes are generally wide with beautiful views on the Chamonix valley and the Mont Blanc Massif. Les Houches is a great skiresort for young families. There are several cosy mountain restuarants scattered on the slopes. Les Houches is easily accessible from Geneva airport by mini-van transfer (1 hour).
