The problem with this resort is that there is only one gondola up the mountain and one run back down which both get very crowded when the resort is busy and although when you get to the top of the mountain you can head out to the Sella Ronda and find some quiet runs, I wasn that impressed with the runs around Canazei. Canazei town is nice enough but there didn seem to be much nightlife outside of a couple of apres-ski bars and this was peak season.

The ski area is tiny (just 10 lifts) and not that high but it has a great secret: the sheltered, north-facing slopes hold powder for days after a snowfall. There\s just one compact ski area, with one restaurant at the centre - so everyone can ski at their own pace, and then easily meet up for lunch or coffee. Above all the pistes are empty.
