There are 4 mountains to ski between, for us our least favourite is Planai as we always feel it is busier. Most of the lift system is quick but there are a few old chairs still about. The runs are mostly reds but a run having a blue designation does not always mean it is any easier than the reds around it! There are a few blacks including the famous run into the resort. Wonderful small little town with an amazing amount of ski tracks on a combination of 4 mountains. The Schladming 4-mountain ski complex links the 4 largest Styrian ski mountains – Hauser Kaibling, Planai, Hochwurzen and Reiteralm. 123 kilometres of pistes and 44 modern cableways and lifts. Schaldming is an old town with a lovely atmosphere, lots of cafes and places to eat

Meribel still is the best choice for a youngish family, with its incredibly friendly vibe, fantastic range of piste and off piste skiing, 100\'s of KM of pisted runs and 100% \'snow sure\' conditions. The resort has enough to offer the skier plenty of non skiing things to do without being too big so that you feel lost.
