Popular ski resort reviews

Really good resort lots of terrian and nearly all fast quads lifts, except some t-bars in the smaller parts of the resort. the set-up is a bit bitty with one ski area at each end of town with a trip down the hill, across on the bus, then up again to get from one to the other. am told there is some off-piste but wasnt the right time of year for me with the snow conditions. lively night life too with chamie bar and then ex-bar taking you through to morning (literally).

Last week we were in arosa for 4 nights in the tschuggen grand hotel. the views were splendid and this area is beautiful. the skiing is great, good chairlifts and preferable above the gondolas. it is a ski area with a lot of sun and although there was much slush puppy snow, the ski runs were well maintained without brown or black spots on the runs. tschuggen bar had a wonderful tschuggen cafe. really a recommendation. all ski runs in this area can be skied in one full day. but three…

We really enjoyed the blue run 31 from the Vorab gondola station – a wide open motorway of a piste, great confidence builder for timid intermediates and good fun for more advanced intermediates when done quickly ! We also ski-ed across from Vorab on piste 30 to the Nagens/Plaun area above Flims which had some great confidence building blues and reds (piste 30 itself was a bit of a flat wind beaten affair but worth the effort to get to Plaun/Nagens runs.
