Popular ski resort reviews

Been skiing at Megeve every year for the last 16 years. The views are excellent, there are numerous restaurants dotted all over the resort and they are almost all proper restaurants (none of the self-service canteens you get in the bigger resorts). As with all low resorts the snow is not always great at the beginning and end of the season (having said that I had 50cm of untouched powder in the middle of April two years back, and a full week of fresh powder every day last Christmas).…

Returned just before Christmas. Great resort with good snow just as we were leaving. The set-up is a bit bitty with one ski area at each end of town with a trip down the hill, across on the bus, then up again to get from one to the other. Am told there is some off-piste but wasnt the right time of year for me with the snow conditions. Megève has to be one of the best kept secrets around and I would highly recommend a trip there during the coming season for all the family. Megève is about 1 hrs drive from Geneva International Airport. The skiing is super and caters for all levels from beginner to expert, and even in bad weather you can still ski as there are the trees all around.
