Great resort for beginners and Intermediates especially and good value. Village in a valley, everything very central and no queuing. Accommodation, shops, bars restaurants. Ski both sides of mountain and into Italy, all grades of runs. Great if you want to ski / relax / sunbathe / enjoy French food. Not good for a stay with apres ski - if that's what you want go to Austria.

Aussois is a small village resort. We enjoyed doorstep skiing at a fraction of the price we've paid at bigger resorts. The skiing was excellent but there are a limited number of slopes. The chairlift system is very good with no queues when we stayed.

It is a great resort for up to advanced skiers, experts may find the runs limited - unless they decide to go off-piste. The off-piste skiing is amazing as there are almost no restrictions. Prices are MUCH lower than in the alps. Lift passes are very reasonable, especially if booked in…
