A beautiful village with a fantastic atmosphere and beautiful views on the Mont Blanc. Prices are lower than in Megeve and there are many more Frenchmen as opposed to Megeve where you will find a huge amount of Russians. The 0n-slope restaurants offer high quality food , not the usual cheap snack. You will find many nice little mountain huts where you can eat very tasty for a reasonable price, but it is not exactly cheap ...

Megeve is a resort with little ambience. It is an expensive resort regarding what it has to offer. In restaurants in the town the wine was very expensive and prices in many of the mountain bars are astronomical. I would suggest nearby Combloux or Les Contamines. ...

There are 4 mountains to ski between, for us our least favourite is Planai as we always feel it is busier. Most of the lift system is quick but there are a few old chairs still about. The runs are mostly reds but a run having a blue designation does not always mean it is any easier than the reds around it! There are a few blacks including the famous run into the resort.
