Latest ski resort reviews

I really recommend this resort, it’s a top resort. There are some really long runs, there’s the longest black in Europe which I think is about 16km. It’s a very good ski area and ideal for all round skiing, there is something for all levels. We are intermediate to advanced but we had some people with us who were skiing for only the second time. They improved a lot while they were there. It’s a great resort for learning, and it’s good for children, it would be the perfect place to take…

I can’t fault La Plagne, the ski area is fantastic and there are loads of blue and reds. I don’t think there are any greens but we were all sort of intermediate level skiers and it was brilliant for us. We skied loads the first week, went back the next year to ski more and will go back to ski the rest, it’s such a massive ski area I really can’t knock it! The town is quiet and more family orientated which is exactly what we wanted, I especially like the Belle Plagne area.

I have been here several times. Sorry I do not get it. Gstaad has had a element of the jetset attached to it for years, but for what reason? You may think Gstaad has this shiny golden name where celebrities and only rich people are gathering. This is just during a short period of time. The rest of the year this a quiet village with all these fancy shop that you also find in Geneva or Zurich. The selection of restaurant is limited and the places are mainly very expensive: i.e a soup…
