Latest ski resort reviews

Im going back to Westendorf in February for the fifth time - I cant recommend it enough. Ive skied in a few other Austrian resorts including the Stubaier Glacier aswell as in Italy. I havent found anywhere with the atmosphere and variety of skiing as Westendorf - hence why Im going back again! Its described as a beginner/intermediate resort, but if youre happy leaving the beaten track and experimenting, theres plenty of awesome off piste. OK, its not up to resorts like Chamonix, but…

I spent a couple of days in Ischgl in March 2006 and the skiing was excellent. At this late point in the season the runs back down to Ischgl were past their best and the majority of people opted for one of the three gondolas that take you back to the town from the mid station. Just returned from a great week in Kitzbuhel. First time to Austria and suitably impressed. Kitz is a gorgeous town with all the Alpine charm you’d expect and more. The Londoner without doubt takes on the mantle of the apres-ski venue with the usual cover band antics and hilarity. The outside bar opposite offers an alternative venue to sip champagne and watch the clientele. For the true connoisseur of afternoon tea there is a great place near the pharmacy on the main strip.
