Latest ski resort reviews

I spent 6 days staying in the Hotel Hochfilzer (which I would highly recommend) in mid February 06. The Ellmau schischule, which is situated at the foot of the Astberg mountain, is fantastic with a range of fluent English speaking easy-going staff who are extremely capable skiers/snowboarders. Although the resort is not famed for being snow sure, this particular time the area was covered with powder in abundance. The ski demo on Thursday nights was also worth seeing!

Charming resort, very friendly people, good runs, if not the longest in europe! queues are very short, runs are well groomed, the slalom run in podkoren is very challenging at 47degrees. Plenty of bars and restaurants, cassino is good fun. Looking forward to our 3rd trip in january.

We as a family have been to Are in Sweden for the last two years and we have found it to be an decent alternative to Austria and France. The slopes at all of the four areas are great, well suited to beginners and maybe to intermediates. The scenery is breathtaking even though your at a low altitude. We stayed at the Holiday Club which is a first rate piece of accomodation, try its sauna world its amazing. There are alot of T Bar lifts which can be tricky if your not used to them. It…
