We as a family have been to Are in Sweden for the last two years and we have found it to be an decent alternative to Austria and France. The slopes at all of the four areas are great, well suited to beginners and maybe to intermediates. The scenery is breathtaking even though your at a low altitude. We stayed at the Holiday Club which is a first rate piece of accomodation, try its sauna world its amazing. There are alot of T Bar lifts which can be tricky if your not used to them. It can be very icey in early season and it is quiet for teenagers at night. The major downise is that Sweden is expensive.
