Lovely ski resort, less well known which is perfect for intermediate skiers. All the runs are black or red. If the conditions are right, the off piste is great too. Very few (if any) blue runs and its red runs to get to the one blue, so really not for the nervous or beginner skier.

La Tzoumaz is part of the Quatres Vallees ski area, connected to better-known Verbier by pistes and lifts but significantly cheaper. Its a relatively high base station at 1500m. With about 50Kms of north-facing pistes and, snow permitting, a 10Km toboggan run, its an intermediates area, although there is a heliport where adrenalin-junkies are lifted to and from the glacier skiing.
