As a moderate intermediate skier all I can say is once you've skied Courchevel and the Three Valleys then you'll have been so spoiled that when your mates ask if you fancy a week in somewhere like Bulgaria "cos it's cheap" then you're going to pull a face like a bulldog chewing a wasp! This is a vastly improved resort compared to 5 years ago. The new lifts have opened up the area and gives you a tremendous variety of slopes to ski. I'm hooked and look forward each year to see the changes that have occurred. I have just returned from 31st trip to the resort. The snow this April was wonderful. Deep powder snow. Wonderful.

We had our first skiing holiday in Lech during the first week of February 2008. My husband and I are your typical intermediate skiers but it was our first proper skiing holiday with our kids, aged 9 and 6. The holiday was a massive success and one of the reasons for this was the brilliant kids' ski school in Lech. The instructors were really friendly and spoke perfect English.
