My wife and I are going back to Les Menuires for the third time this coming season. There is fantastic skiing available here for all levels. Reasonably competent beginers or early intermediates should also find it fairly easy to ski to either Meribel or Val Thorens too. I would suggest that you need to be a fairly competent skier (and a fit one!) if you are intending to get to Courchevel and back comfortably in a day. The snow was hard packed and icey in many places during December last year, so we are hoping for some more of the fresh stuff this time around! There is accommodation available to suit all budgets, not quite so pretty but just as comfortable as Meribel, so why pay more!?
