Purpose build village which is very popular with Scandinavian and Dutch tourists. At 2400m the snowcondition is always excellent. Weatherconditions do change quick here... The (lift) connection with neighbouring Courchevel and Meribel is prone to wind, and can be a bit crowded. Compared to the Val Thorens and Les Menuires ski area the part in Meribel and Courchvel offers some very nice tree lined slopes. Also it is less crowded over there. You will find some nice restuarants in Meribel and Courchvel, but they are all very very expensive. The night life in Val Thorens is very lively, lot's of young people here.
