I have visited here many times and at different stages of the season. As a pre-Christmas destination, it is hard to beat being so high snow sure. but can suffer drifting and bare patches of ice due to the exposed nature of the resort. I been before Christmas twice and have managed to ski all four valleys on both occasions - empty runs, no queues - what a treat. The nightlife is dominated by younger skiers at this time as this is tradidtionally the university ski period. I took my family there in February on another occasion. Ski in ski out for many appts makes life a lot easier and there are plenty of easy runs for beginners which all follow the main drag. The problem is that, once in the ma
