What a hidden gem - certainly recommend. For beginners and more advanced skiers. Lovely views over Mont Blanc. This is a high resort with good reliable snow cover; almost unknown to the Brits who head to Chamonix, yet the snow conditions can be better and it is invariably quieter. Did Chamonix the following day and noticed the lift card prices were higher as well.

Westendorf is an attractive village with good local slopes for confident intermediates; it is slightly off the main SkiWelt circuit, but has easy access to Kitzbuhel’s area via Ki-West. Even on a busy week there was no queuing for lifts and runs were wide open and clutter free allowing for flat out descents. Lift passes are also some of the cheapest around.

This is an excellent place to ski for beginners intermediates and experts alike. It links to the Megeve area which is huge and the area benefits from queue free lifts and excellent restaurants as well as a really good selection of pistes and some lovely little off piste runs that do not track out as quickly as nearby resorts.
