Ski area is good, if somewhat limited and lift system works very well, no queues! A real pain to get to Kaprun even if you are staying in kaprun and not really worth the effort except for the view of the glacier, spectacular! Night life in Zell am See is pretty exciting as well as the apres ski. Also the off-slope amenities are great: nice shops, great restaurants, and beautiful hiking routes along the lake. Zell has got it all!

Flaine is a beautiful place, the scenery is amazing, the skiing is fantastic, there is plenty of skiing for any level of skier. I learned in Flaine, and compared to other places I've skied, it's by far the best. I have to admit like all ski resorts the food is rather expensive, the pubs can be too, but there are plenty of happy hours to suit all. There is plenty of scope for more night life. Fantastic plenty of skiing for many years to come.

Skied all over Europe and this is perfect, quiet & unspoilt. Fabulous for family holidays. Very very rare to queue at the lifts and a huge ski area, good choice of restaurants at 1100 and 700 and 5 mins drive to Samoens if you need variety if you are staying for more than a week. Plenty of off piste right by the slopes so easy for all different levels to have fun close to each other. The old village is particularly characterful.
