St Anton is the home of extreme off piste powder riding, it is one of the most challenging resorts of all. The sheer expanse, the long groomed pistes, the endless off piste, open wide fields all extending over an area of 250 kilometers. I especially enjoy the natural rolls and gullies in the Schindlerkar area and the lower tree areas of the Schongraben area after a large snowfall. The village is as vibrant as the mountain, it never sleeps, I am not too sure how I manage it but when I am visiting St Anton I can always seem to be able to survive on about 3 hours sleep a night then ride all day

The skiing was great! We enjoyed Lech and Zurs a bit more than St. Anton, but what was really special, was the Apre Ski! We liked Taps - which is on the other side of Krazy Kangaruh, because the music (hard rock) was great! So was the barman! Mooserwirt was also a riot! Most days we would drink from 16:00 straight till a late dinner and then crash! - we loved this since we could be up early the next morning with no hangover! New Years Eve was amazing! -5 degrees out and everyone was dancing in the streets! fireworks were going off all over the place! I will definately return here!

What have I been missing out on over the years?! Well, St. Anton is a friendly village offering great hospitality. We stayed at the Alpenhof which was a family run hotel just 10 mins walk to the west of the centre - the food and service was great - it had it's own minibus for rides into town too. The food is generally of a great standard across all of the places we ate - even on the slopes. The apres ski is something else in St. Anton - the Mooserwirt from 3pm onwards is a hedonistic melting pot of people who want to party and have some good well mannered fun - it really is a must do experience - we went there most days - it couldn't be surpassed. It's fun in itself watching the partygoers s

St Anton is a hip, vibrant, and beautifully Alpine village, where, both the young and old feel comfortable. The skiing is challenging, yet satisfying, though, not a place for beginners! I recommend beginners take the 40min bus ride to the nearby resort of Lech, for long wide open runs perfect for the less experienced skier. The pistes here are a lot less crowded than in St Anton too, with the queues for lifts almost halved. The views from both the Galzig and Rendl mountain lift stations are breath-taking, a sensational view across the Alps and it's valleys. The night life in St Anton varies from quiet, traditional bars to the noisey, crowded, but fun night-club bars such as "bar-cuba&qu

Have been to St Anton several times over the past 5 years and still love the place. You really must try to visit it once in your lifetime. There are two main attractions - the skiing (especially off piste) and the apres ski. This is not the place for beginners, nor would I say families (although I did take my 3 kids- 4, 7 and 10, there for the day - whilst we were staying in Oberlech at end of Jan to sample the Mooserwirt and they loved it). It is hard going at times, especially on the Shliesstal, which is the main run back into St Anton that also takes you to Krazy Kanguruh, Mooserwirt etc, in the afternoon. It is a pity as this is a great run when queiter. There are some problems with the
