Finkenberg is an excellent resort. The scenary in the Ziller and Tux valleys is breathtaking. Finkenberg is picture postcard. The resort is friendly, with 2 good nitespots the Laternal and the Finkenest. As far as the skiing is concerned, the super zillertal liftpass is one of the best value passes I have seen. Gruss Gott im Annaberg. Een gemoedelijk dorp waar de klok qua goede dingen 30 jaar stil is blijven staan. De achterdeur blijft open, je kan je ski's overal laten staan, je wordt snel geholpen als er wat aan is gebeurd (huurski's). Het is allemaal nog redelijk betaalbaar en niet echt druk bij de liften en op de pistes. Hause Alpenrose is een mooi pension waar je echt in de watten gelegd wordt door de Fam. Oberauer. I chose Ruka because it seemed to have snow late on in the season and it wasn't too large for first timers. It was fab - all of us managed to learn to ski or at least stand up and get to the bottom of a run without falling over. The instructors were great, really patient and inspired confidence. For us the skiing was fine and it always felt safe. It might not be challenging enough for more competent skiers. There were minimal queues and you could find very empty slopes. The runs aren't…
