I think Courmayeur is one of the most beautiful place in the word. the town is wonderful, the 100 km of slopes are beautiful and the view of the italian side of Mont Blanc, the highest mountain of Europe, is fantastic! I love Courmayeur and also all the region of Courmayeur the Aosta Valley! You have to go to ski also in Cervinia to see the matterhorn and the 350 km of international slopes!

I went to Sestriere in January 06 and found a huge ski-area called Via Lattea (The Milky Way). It consisted of several Italian villages and one village in France. The skirarena is not very well connected; you have to take a bus to get from one area to the other. I have to say that I think the beginners slopes in Sestriere are very good - with several button lifts feeding an incredibly wide slope. Then there are some lovely wide easy blues down to the gondola to Sauze with fast lifts…

Dont expect a huge spot, but you will be impressed anyway! Youll love the view, the ambient (youre surrounded by trees). Its small but charming, right in the heart of the French Alps (25 minutes and youre in Chamonix). Even if you want see more, youre linked to numerous other resorts like: Megeve-La Princesse, Le Mont-Joly, Le Mont-Joux, Le Mont dArbois.
