Davos was our first time on the piste and a better place to start couldnt have been picked. The board school was awesome and the slopes at the bottom were ideal for beginners. The nightlife was varied and lively with a real mix of bars and clubs for every taste. The only drawback really was the cost of drinks which could turn any night into an expensive one. We went here in the beginning of January 2006. That mean't it was pretty cold (-20C) but it was empty and not a single queue all week at the lifts. The village is car free so you have to get electric 'johnny cabs' everywhere. In general, it's pretty expensive here but hunt around, but you can find cheap food but don't expect to eat in! This is not the resort to go to if you want parks and pipe. For a resort with such a big name. It should be ashamed by what it offers to snowboarders. I was shocked to find that dose not really make any real effort to provide decent freestyle facilites St anton say it has a park on it's website, the reality was one kicker and one box.
